Water Commissioners · Meeting of July 6, 2026

WEST BRIDGEWATER — The Water Commissioners kept the town's watering ban in place and reported that the Manley Street treatment plant is online. The plant went into service two days after its state inspection and is producing about 160,000 gallons a day, with a seven-day performance test still to come. Speakers said no wells have been added since the 1970s, that more than 100 houses are expected within a year or two, and that a new source would cost about $10 million and take about five years.

Commissioners discussed checking addresses reported for watering against the list of private wells and sending letters; fines start at $100 and rise to $200. They approved one abatement by voice vote.
