Water Commission approves CA Norman Change Order 2

Water Commissioners · Meeting of July 20, 2026

WEST BRIDGEWATER — Water Commissioners learned the Manley treatment plant needs only $3.5 million of its $3.96 million State Revolving Fund loan. Project engineers said the savings mean nearly half a million dollars of principal the town will not repay, and about $186,000 of contingency remains. The plant is producing water, but the formal performance test has not started because the plant operator is not yet confident running it in automatic mode.

The commission approved Change Order 2 for the CA Norman treatment plant project by voice vote, covering potential change orders 6 through 11. Engineers said the next major concrete pour there is planned for around August 5 or 6, with roughly 22 trucks expected.
