Select Board · Meeting of October 22, 2026

West Bridgewater's Board of Selectmen denied a liquor license transfer for Monero's Brazilian Steakhouse over an incomplete application. Town Administrator David told the board the applicants never produced a signed purchase-and-sale agreement between Monero's Group Inc. and Monero's Buffet Inc., despite a September 30 deadline, saying "we do not have a purchase and sale agreement between group to buffet." The board voted unanimously to deny the transfer and recommended the owners voluntarily surrender all four licenses; the restaurant must stay closed until the board's November 18 meeting. Separately, the board approved a $4.827 million municipal bond to TD Financial Products LLC at a 3.542 percent net interest cost, signed an estoppel certificate advancing the 21 Lincoln Street development, and asked the Planning Board to require a peer-reviewed traffic study for a proposed West Center Street child care facility, citing queuing risk near the town's public safety building.
