Select Board · Meeting of August 20, 2026

West Bridgewater Selectmen approved merging the water superintendent's role into the DPW director's job. The board, consisting of Chair Michael A. Perez, Vice Chair Marcie M.

Lee and Clerk Jeffrey P. Ryan, voted unanimously to approve a new organizational framework, two job descriptions and a contract naming DPW Director Phil McNulty as water superintendent effective September 1. Town Administrator David said the Board of Water Commissioners backed the plan Monday night and that it preserves appointed, rather than elected, commissioners.

Separately, the board weighed a child care facility proposed for 355 West Center Street, where zoning requires 39 parking spaces but only 32 exist; Vice Chair Lee warned "we can't have cars queuing up on that road," and Perez proposed the special permit "becomes non-compliant if queuing occurs on the roadway." The board also approved year-end budget transfers covering a $611 rent control overage and canceled its September 2 meeting.
