Select Board · Meeting of July 16, 2026

West Bridgewater Selectmen ratified a new police union contract and picked stop signs over costly rotaries for two intersections. The board voted 3-0 by roll call to enter executive session before ratifying the police contract and signing an accompanying MOU, with Town Administrator David saying the town "settled on the same 3-3-3 that we gave everybody else." Selectmen also approved an interim National Grid easement on Sears Street for the new water treatment plant, and endorsed a $264,000 four-way stop design over a $912,000 rotary for West Street-Crescent Street, plus a roughly $248,000 stop-sign option over an $841,000 rotary for Lincoln Street-South Elm Street. Selectman Jeffrey P.

Ryan led approval of a revised mission statement letting the town's building-needs committee inspect municipal buildings. The board also learned Massachusetts was denied FEMA reimbursement for about $300,000 in blizzard costs, with an appeal pending.
