West Bridgewater Select Board raises dump sticker fees and freezes a restaurant's alcohol sales.
Select Board · Meeting of September 22, 2026
West Bridgewater Select Board raises dump sticker fees and freezes a restaurant's alcohol sales. The board voted to increase transfer station sticker prices to $165 for 2027, $175 for 2028 and $195 for 2029, with Chair Michael Perez arguing the transfer station is "the only service" many residents get from the town. Separately, the board found Monero's Brazilian Steakhouse committed an "egregious violation" of the town's alcohol policy for failing to report a weeks-long closure after National Grid shut off power, imposing a two-day suspension and barring alcohol sales until a full ownership-transfer application clears the state ABCC.
The board also approved transferring Boston Tavern's liquor license to incoming owner Tim Townsall's Lucky Goose Tavern, and heard that MassDOT found new structural damage at the closed Forest Street Bridge, prompting a planned $200,000 emergency removal.
