Conservation Commission Continues Gas Station Rebuild Hearing to February, Issues Warehouse Compliance Certificates

WEST BRIDGEWATER — January 6, 2026 — West Bridgewater Conservation Commission advances long-delayed gas station rebuild and closes out Miley Street warehouse. The commission continued the 506 West Summer Street redevelopment hearing for Colvia Enterprises LLC to February 3 after attorney Daniel Dufault reported that a 30-foot access easement crossing the applicant's parcel — the primary obstacle since at least June 2024 — is in the process of being terminated, freeing the applicant to reduce impervious surface, relocate the septic system, and eliminate a planned car wash from the site. The revised plans are headed into a 53G peer review, and the planning board had not yet opened its own hearing as of the January 6 meeting. Separately, the commission voted unanimously to issue two certificates of compliance — one for the order of conditions and one for stormwater — for a warehouse at 586 Miley Street, with bond release to follow once the certificates are recorded; engineer Paul Mathos of Alan Major Associates said a small portion of perimeter silt fence remained frozen in the ground and would be removed after the thaw.
