Conservation · Meeting of September 15, 2026

West Bridgewater conservation board continues three hearings as neighbor alleges construction violations. A resident living across from an active building site at 99-101 Scotland Street told the commission contractors had violated wetlands buffer limits five times, including tearing down trees with excavator equipment she says was supposed to be "pruning." Conservation agent Tim told her the board's jurisdiction is limited to the 100-foot wetlands buffer and directed her to the building and highway departments for other complaints. The commission continued that hearing, along with septic filings at 97 Belmont Street and 65 Pleasant Street, to October 6.

It unanimously approved wetlands buffer waivers, standard orders of conditions and stormwater permits for a contractors' yard at 0 Matfield Street, presented by Tracy Dewart for LJDE LLC, and a two-lot subdivision at 58 South Street, presented by engineer Scott Farr for CLM Development.
