West Bridgewater's Conservation Commission approved a septic upgrade clearing the way for a daycare and weighed buffer protections for a new home.
Conservation · Meeting of August 18, 2026
West Bridgewater's Conservation Commission approved a septic upgrade clearing the way for a daycare and weighed buffer protections for a new home. The panel voted to close the hearing and issue a negative determination with conditions for a 353 West Center Street septic upgrade tied to Little Stars Academy, a planned daycare requiring a 4,000-gallon tank to replace an existing 1,500-gallon system. At 0 Copeland Street, engineer Kevin Davis of ET Engineering presented a single-family home design cutting stormwater flow from 494 to 323 cubic feet at one analysis point; an abutter said "I get water in my yard and in my basement now," prompting discussion of driveway berms and a conservation easement.
That hearing, along with three others, was continued to September 1. The commission also unanimously approved a minor project change for 600 Manly Street after a peer reviewer called the stormwater design "a wash."
