Planning Board Approves Car Wash Upgrade, Splits Manley Street Contractor Yard Permits

WEST BRIDGEWATER — January 7, 2026 — West Bridgewater Planning Board unanimously approved a special permit modification for a contractor yard at 630 Manley Street and granted special permit and site plan approval for car wash upgrades at 790 North Main Street at its January 7 meeting. Engineer Scott Ferrier of J.K. Holmgren Engineering, representing MJM Construction Corporation Inc., explained that a solar company lease had prevented construction of a previously approved building on the 630 Manley Street property, forcing a subdivision into two lots and requiring the board to update Town Clerk's File No. 413 to reference the new Lot B-1 configuration recorded in Plan Book 69, Page 137. A new Phase 3 special permit application for the adjacent Lot B-2 parcel at 600 Manley Street — proposing a 60-by-120-foot building and roughly 100 truck spaces for prospective tenant Style Waste — was continued to February 18, pending a Conservation Commission hearing and final sign-off from town engineer Pat Brennan. At 790 North Main Street, engineer Kevin Davis of E.T. Engineering secured unanimous approval on behalf of 790 North Main Street LLC to add modernized vacuum stalls, reconfigure traffic flow, install new drainage infrastructure, and repave the site of a car wash operating for more than 40 years, with the Conservation Commission set to act next.
