WEST BRIDGEWATER — April 21, 2026 — West Bridgewater Conservation Commission approves parking fix, orders peer review of contractor yard plans. The commission voted unanimously April 21 to issue a negative three determination with conditions for a parking and stormwater redesign at 464 West Center Street, restoring 70 spaces a business owner lost when the town relocated Lincoln Street, with the sole condition that stormwater controls be in place before construction starts. For a proposed 96,000-square-foot paved contractor storage yard at 0 Matfield Street — a cross-border project with applicant Lou Tarantino of LJBE LLC spanning eight acres in West Bridgewater and 29 acres in Brockton — the commission voted to hire a Section 53G independent peer reviewer after the commission's wetland agent flagged that a key drainage basin was sized using hydraulic calculations from an earlier, substantially altered Brockton development plan, saying, "if it's not sized right, it's not going to function and we're going to be getting the water." The commission also accepted a revised wetland delineation and issued an order of resource area delineation for parcels off Samuel Avenue and Brooks Place over the objections of an abutter who raised wildlife and frontage concerns, and continued hearings at Zero Copeland Street, 194 South Main Street, and Zero Bryant Street to May 5.
